Humpback Whale Swim Encounter - Big Island - Kona Hawaii

It was a bright sunny Hawaiian morning, and my friend and I were out for our usual dolphin swim, when I felt a tapping on my shoulder. My friend pointed down into the water, when I saw to my surprise a huge humback whale! This thing was incredible. Probably around 40 long!

If you've never seen anything this big in the water before, it can be quite a surprise! I fidgeted with my underwater camera, nervously trying to adjust it from still mode to movie mode - I wasn't about to let a lifelong dream get away from me without proof that it actually happened!
